Abstract

I asked to perform my internship in a psychiatric unit because my goal is to achieve that communication is the latest technology in a profession such as nursing. I\'m in the final year and I am still learning. I find it difficult to interact assertively, empathetically and in giving or receiving feedback. This helps me to get to know me and to know where my limits are, my prejudices and to what extent what I hear, see and what I am told, influences me. At first I doubted i had made a good choice. However, the learning process no longer seems so simple, fast or automatic as a medical-surgical learning. The power that nurses have on patients is a reflective, persuasive and executive power, and it is decisive when speaking of the power of self-control. I\'m experiencing a lot of feelings: despair, doubts about whether I made the right decision, guilt, mental exhaustion, etc…
Still, I wanted this be a success and keep the illusion of learning. I am encourages to work in this area where I have seen so much loneliness, sadness, anger and impotence, weakness and vulnerability ... In short, where I have seen so much suffering.
