Abstract

Stress is a physiological, psychological and behavioral response when individuals try to adjust and adapt themselves to internal and external pressures. Healthcare professionals must confront everyday situations that can easily result in stress. A literature review has been carried out on stress impact on nursing students. Based on such data, we shall be able to teach our students some strategies and tools to help them cope with various stress situations both in university and hospital settings. Thus, as healthcare professionals, they will have the skills they need to face difficult working situations with a high coping ability and to minimize the nurses' risk to be stressed or burnt out.
