Abstract

One out of every five thousands of inhabitans is liable to suffer from braintumor. Between 10 and 15% of the brain tumors are hipophysis adenomas.Transphenoidal surgery, with scarce morbidity-mortality, contributes withhopeful possibilities which everyday increase the indication for this therapy,but as any surgical intervention in not free from risks and possiblecomplications.

Therefore nurse activity is so useful in this clinic framework.

The patient, intervened surgically of hipophysis adenoma, need specificcares which guarantee his safety and protection, his physical and psychiccomfort and a good adaptation before the different process stages.

In order to give both an integral and a quality attention, the nurse designsstandar care plans which must be individualized.

In this article, we show the standardized care plan for patients undergonehipophysis adenoma resection. It contains nursing diagnoses and potentialcomplications which can appear in these patients.
