Abstract

Educating for critical thought and innovation requires an analysis of each one of the concepts, as there are many elements involved. Each component has been the object of extensive study. A review of the concepts and their interrelation is presented here in an effort to provide a synthesis of the different components.

The aim of this article is to share a personal reflection on the need to offer alternative educative models to help replace dogmatic thought in day to day life with more holistic and subjective thought.
