Abstract
A transversal descriptive study was carried out to establish the profile of users going to adjuvant therapy consulting rooms in the city of Lleida. The specific objectives were to determine what health problems prompted these therapies and what was the users satisfaction level. 78 complementary therapy users that went to the complementary therapy consulting rooms were studied between the 2nd of March and the 19th of April, 1999.
The most relevant results were that there were more women than men going to the consulting rooms (mean age 44 years). The educational level of most people was incomplete basic level (primary school), general basic education level (secondary school) and professional instruction (vocational training). The most common professions were housewives, workers without remuneration, and office clerks. The most frequent health problems were pain and osteomuscular problems. User satisfaction level was good.
