Abstract

This article depicts a method for the elaboration of Standardised Care Plans (SCP) that uses an inductive approach as part of the systematisation of the activities that nurses use routinely in the different healthcare services to reach nursing diagnoses and the interdependent problems implicit to them. The method consists of five stages, starting with the observation of the practice where a list of activities is listed and where the profile of each type of patient is defined. The study continues with bibliographic documentation of the pathological process, a reflection of the fundament that supports each activity, formulation of interdependent problems and nursing diagnosis, and lastly with a definition of objectives, identification criteria and altered need. The resulting Standardised Care Plan is subjected to a validation process carried out by welfare nurses, teaching nurses and nurse managers.
