Abstract

Objective: to analyse literature references on activities for the intervention Management of Chemotherapy, identified in the CUIDEN and CIUDAGE databases.
Methodology: documental descriptive analysis. The variable analysed were the number of recovered references, the degree of overlapping with and without abstract, the degree of overlapping between databases, number of articles useful for the study objective and accessibility to the documents.
Results: the number of articles found that responded to the search strategy “activities of the intervention “Management of Chemotherapy” and that were useful for the study were 127 from CUIDEN (3.4% of the total recovered), and 43 from CUIDATGE (6.3% of the total number recovered). There was a 24% from CUIDEN with regard to CUIDATGE, and 49% from CUIDATGE with regard to CUIDEN.
Conclusions: based on the scarce percentage of useful articles of the total number recovered, the criteria followed for the indexing of articles should be reviewed, which would reduce the number of articles encountered; a good style of writing and more precise composition of the articles would also help towards reducing the number of titles produced.
