Abstract

This assay depicts a brief reflexion regarding the concept of health from Jean Watson’s perspective. In order to approach the subject we have taken Watson as reference, one of the most important nursing theorist of our time because she has been able to beautifully capture how health is perceived in the contemporary world. In this sense, the concept of health has to be framed within the paradigm of transformation. This paradigm shows a phenomenological perspective. Such perception is based on the transpersonal relationship that is established between the person who provides care and the person who received the care, which is essential for healing. Through this relationship, the nurse helps the patient to reach greater harmony between mind, body and soul.
