Abstract
On the other hand, the consequences of an inadequate alimentary behavior during childhood may have life-long consequences, as well as affect the individual’s quality of life, and cause the development of diseases.
In the present article, the eighth in a series of nine articles in which different topics are addressed in order to make public the emerging profile of nurses in the educational setting, the nutritional needs of school-children are explained according to ages, as well as what must be done in order to cover said needs. Different menus are also mentioned, addressing those different dietetic needs of pupils depending on their disease, without disregarding the problems in some educational centers in terms of food preparation and the attendance to the school dining room of children with special educational needs. Finally, the school dining room representatives and their regulations are discussed.
