Abstract The process of university adaptation to the guidelines of the Bologna Declaration with the creation of a European Higher Education Area (EHEA) entails a profound pedagogic revolution. 2010 is a key date for its implementation and during this short period of time library services must be transformed to adhere to a new concept of Library, with the aim of addressing the new demands and challenges that the current university structure produces. The implementation of a new concept of teaching, Problem-Based Learning, in accordance with the EHEA, has promoted a series of changes at all levels in our Vall d’Hebron University Medical and Nursing Library as well as in the organizational vision, aimed at the constant integration of demands generated by our new educational setting.
