Abstract

This article presents the majority of advances achieved by the care research group of the Hospital Vall d’Hebron (Barcelona) during the 2010-2019 period. It has been a brief historic journey, where there has been an improvement in the group outcomes and the majority of research objectives have been achieved: innovation, transfer, knowledge to the society, competencies, globalization and alliances. This is the story of the way in which researchers and clerical support staff have placed the group in a privileged position to face a new period. This article describes the creation of a group of nurses and healthcare professionals with a common interest in research; it details the group evolution and its strategical objectives, and highlights the impact of its research activities.
