Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to show the evaluation of a Psychoeducational Medication Programme performed on patients admitted from 2001 to 2004 at “Hospital de Día Psiquiátrico” of Salamanca.
Treatment at the Day Hospital is intensive, of a short-duration and of a multidisciplinary nature, involving pharmacological as well as psychotherapeutic care.
Attended patients suffer from any psychiatric pathology, excepting those that would be meet exclusion criteria such as mental retardation, dementia, or significant heteroagressive or self-aggressive behaviours.
Results are obtained from questionnaires that the patients and their families filled in voluntarily at completion of the treatment period at the said hospital.
