Abstract

The safety of patients is an ethical imperative of public health, so the formation of health professionals should consider including the topic in their curricula.
Objectives: To know the opinion of students of Nursing, Medicine and Psychology on the incorporation of patient safety content in curricula.
Material and methods: Descriptive, associative, transverse. Universe: students pursuing careers Nursing, Medicine and Psychology. Simple random sample (n=147). Instrument: self-administered questionnaire. Primary source. The population consists of regular students, average age of 28.3. 50% of nurses, 30% Psychology and 20% of Medicine.
Results: The degree of knowledge shown was medium and in need of upgrade in most (77.5%), with the same percentage expressed interest in the subject. 62% state that the contents should be included in the first years and 28% in the past. The integrated form of inclusion, 85%, 9% and 3% concentrated optional.
Conclusions: The incorporation of patient safety contents in the curricula of research careers is a challenge for entities trainers, given the level of significance expressed.
